The Municipality of Breza covers an area of 83km2 and is part of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina It is located on the banks of the River Stavnjia, 30 kms outside of Sarajevo.
Although Breza, with its 13.800 inhabitants, is considered as one of the smallest municipalities in the country, its natural heritage, together with the abundance of water and the beauty of its surroundings make Breza an ideal starting point for discovering the real Balkans.

The municipality is also rich in archaeological remnants like the late antique Basilica whose origins can be roughly dated to the 6th century, and that strongly recalls the Basilicas of Turmanin (Syria) and the Bin Bir Kilise (Turkey). |
Olympic and children pools with thermal water in the green heart of the Municipality and many areas with picnic facilities (the Mountain Hut in Budozeli, the Plateau of Hrasno) offer the visitors great opportunities for sport and recreation, mountain biking, trekking and wildlife watching.
